ConocoPhillips Announces 2007 Goals for Downstream

ConocoPhillips laid out their 2007 objectives and operating plans for their Refining and Marketing division at their annual analyst meeting in New York recently. Their objectives included focusing on safe and reliable operations; holding operating costs flat while improving clean projects yields through further investment in existing refineries; making improvements to process advantaged crudes, particularly at their Wood River, Ill., and Borger, Texas, refineries through an oil- sands venture with EnCana; and engaging with foreign partners in hopes of constructing new refineries in the Middle East and Asia.
