IEA: Recent Energy Efficiency Gains Trim CO2 Emissions

Energy efficiency gains since 1990 have reduced carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions 14% below what they otherwise would have been, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).That's the conclusion of a new IEA publication, Energy Use in the New Millennium: Trends in IEA Countries.
