Efforts are in full swing throughout the textile and apparel supply chain to make production processes more environmentally sustainable by eliminating the use of unsafe materials and reducing energy and water consumption. In large part, those efforts are being driven by the brands as non-compliance with environmental standards in the factories where their products are made reflect badly on them.
