A climate computer is a stupid machine. It can only do what it has been told, when and how. It can be a valuable teammate, but the intelligence must come from the farm manager, since he is the poultry production specialist. By nature, free-living birds have the ability to respond to climate changes. During hot weather they look for shade or other places to cool down. Fresh air is never an issue and if it is, they simply migrate to a better place. Birds kept in captivity do not have this freedom of movement, but still have the right to be kept in an environment where they feel well and can stay healthy. Besides feed and water, good quality fresh air is a necessity for all living creatures, including poultry.
