High-performance will help tanker fuel waste

Efforts to improve the environmental impact from tankers are being stepped up by pump manufacturer Lewa and its partner Cryostar, the French technology company. Together they have assembled a prototype pump and drive which is now being considered for the purpose. The first prototype is currently is being tested and if the results of this tests and trips under load emerge as positive the system will be tested on a vessel under actual conditions.
