In May 2008, Stork Food Systems became fully owned by Icelandic company, Marel. From that moment, the well known Dutch manufacturer of poultry processing and further processing equipment entered into a new era. It had been part of a listed company onthe Amsterdam Stock Exchange for many years. During the move however, it became partly listed again at the Nasdaq OMX in Reykjavik. Up until that time, Theo Hoen had been president of Stork Food Systems for a number of years. Soon he was named CEO of the Marel group, taking the responsibiUty of integrating "his" Stork into Marel.
