Poultry breeding and selection is of all ages. Through the availability of new technologies it became possible to achieve big steps in improving breeds without the use of many birds over several generations. Misconception and lack of knowledge seem toform a barrier in making these tools accepted by consumers, but is it reason enough to stop using them?
