摘要

Ultrafine precipitated silica, which has novel physical and chemical properties, is widely used in paint and varnishes. Owing to the hydrophilicity of precipitated silica, its affinity to organic polymers is restricted. This research paper investigates the surface modification of precipitated silica in the carbonisation process, which comprises the reaction of Na2SiO3 solutions with simulative lime kiln gas (N2 and 30% CO2).
