It can be difficult witb white and other light-coloured waterborne decorative paints to determine whether an entire area for repainting, which is also white or light-coloured, has really been covered by the paint. One method of resolving this problem is the use of a pH indicator, which gives a colour when wet, but becomes transparent on drying. However the control of pH during the drying process is a problem.
