The invention relates to a process to prepare at ambient temperature a curable waterborne polyurethane coating by which the isocyanate and the polyols are mixed thoroughly before their emulsification in water.Coatings prepared with the paints made according to this process show longer pot-life, a higher gloss and an improved distinctness of image (DOI) than coatings prepared according to pre-emulsion route prior art technology.
