Future perfect? A vision of what our world would be like if all buildings achieved best engineering practice was presented at the CIBSE Building Performance Conference

If all buildings worked the way they should, and if our homes and offices were designed and built to perform as well as the best that have been built, then we would have a very different life experience. At home, we would expend only a fraction of the amount of energy we currently do staying warm and comfortable, while being freed from the worry that poverty could, potentially, ruin our health. While in the office, our improved wellbeing would make us more productive.
