Performance of a PT 30/15 hops harvester was assessed in 2006 as part of an extensive research program. The efficiency of the picking mechanism and separators as well as the rate of loss and damage to hops were measured. Samples were taken during the field harvest of four cultivars (Zatecky polorany cervenak, Premiant, Agnus and Sladek). Results, summarised in tables, show that damage parameters for individual cultivars differed very little. The harvested hops were then dried in a PSCH-325 conveyor drier, equipped with a number of sensors measuring the temperature and humidity of the drying air. Energy consumption was also measured. Results are presented in tables and graphs.
