The device for drying hops, comprises a compensation chamber (10), in which hops to be dried are introduced in a kiln, and a mixing device (20) having an inlet, an outlet, a cooling device and/or a damping device and a heat source and/or a water source. A gas supplied to the hops is producible with a determined moisture and temperature in the mixing device based on the measured data in the kiln and the compensation chamber. The compensation chamber is connected with the kiln, in which the hops are dried. The kiln and/or compensation chamber have sensors to measure temperature and/or moisture. The device for drying hops, comprises a compensation chamber (10), in which hops to be dried are introduced in a kiln, and a mixing device (20) having an inlet, an outlet, a cooling device and/or a damping device and a heat source and/or a water source. A gas supplied to the hops is producible with a determined moisture and temperature in the mixing device based on the measured data in the kiln and the compensation chamber. The compensation chamber is connected with the kiln, in which the hops are dried. The kiln and/or the compensation chamber have sensors to measure temperature and/or moisture and oil. A regulation of the drying parameter such as the regulation of the volume flow of the air and/or the speed during drying and/or the temperature in the drying phases is carried out in the kiln. The parameter of the temperature and/or the speed is regulated. The mixing device has flaps, which guide the volume flow of the gas into the mixing device.
