Investigation plods along in Queensland pesticide inquiry

The Noosa Fish Health Taskforce set up by Minister Tim Mulherin, was to be an open and transparent inquiry. It is plodding along. Deadlines come and go. Attendance at the Taskforce and Scientific Subcommittee meetings by the nominees of the various authorities appears to be on an optional rather than ah obligatory basis. The Scientific Sub-committee has been denied access to the spray records of the macadamia farm neighbouring the hatchery, without which correlation between spray events and fish deaths, embryo deformities and other incidents cannot be accurately assessed.
