Carna Research Station: R&D services for the Irish aquaculture industry

Carna Research Station (CRS) is the off-campus marine laboratory of the National University of Ireland, Galway.Situated on the west coast of Ireland, it specialises in large scale, exploratory aquatic research. An integral part of the Ryan Institute, it has been in operation since the late 1950s and has a tradition of carrying out both basic and applied researchon existing and novel species for aquaculture.
