Over the last decade substantial attention has been on Reckculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) because of their capability to grow a wide variety offish species at high densities with reduced space requirements. They also provide complete control overthe culture to maximize growth, increased bio-security, and minimal impact on the environment. High biomass density translates directly into higher production, however, high densities and large numbers also increase the risk and consequences of failure.
