Lahontan National Fish Hatchery

The Lahontan National Fish Hatchery Complex supports an integrated fishery program that includes the Nevada Fishery Resource Office, the Lahontan National Fish Hatchery (NFH), and Marble Bluff Fish Passage Facility. The three facilities work within acomprehensive coordinated program to preserve the threatened Lahontan cutthroattrout (Onchorynchus clarki henshawi) and the endangered cuiui (Chasmistes cujus) of Pyramid Lake. They also provide technical assistance to other Service Offices, state, tribal and federal agencies. The program includes fish passage activities, production and tagging, instream flow management, strain evaluation, and habitat restoration.
