China to introduce Phase IV emission standards for gasoil in July.

It was reported by Chinese media that the country will start introducing Phase IV emission standard specifications for motor gasoil in July 2012, and by Jan. 2015 will implement the standards throughout the entire country. "The transition period for a new standard is about two-and-a-half years after it's launched," an industry source said. However, implementation dates are usually pushed back, like Phase III standards that were six months delayed. Phase IV standards for gasoline in China are planned for implementation by Dec. 31, 2013, but it is likely that it will be delayed to late 2014.
