South African LPG wholesalers, retailers push for LPG changes.

The government of South Africa is being urged by LPG wholesalers and retailers to revise LPG price controls in the state in order to boost LPG imports and stimulate storage facility investments. In Oct., operational problems at crude oil and synthetic fuel refineries disrupted LPG supplies in the country. BP, Engen, Chevron, Sasol, Shell, Total, and PetroSA refineries have all experienced problems. Imports of LPG became difficult to secure due to the limited storage facilities at the Richards Bay and Saldanha import ports.
