According to the US state's Department of Mineral Resources, crude production in North Dakota rose by 8.5K b/d in June to 1.2MM b/d, making two consecutive months of production gains. As crude prices recovered to the region of $60/bbl, the department said, producers drew on their inventories of drilled but uncompleted wells to increase output. DMR data indicated that 149 wells were completed in June, up from 116 the month before. "They've found ways to cut costs to be a lot more efficient with their drilling and completion," said DMR Director Lynn Helms.
