The Islamic Republic has entered the second stage of the third phase of upgrades to a National Iranian Oil Co. gasoline unit at the company's Abadan Oil Refinery. The project is expected to increase the facility's production capacity to 6MM L/d (37.7K b/d) with the addition of 2MM L/d (12.6K b/d) of 94- and 95-octane gasoline production capacity, which will meet Euro-4 standards. Another Iranian news source estimated a higher new production capacity, at 15MM L/d (94.3K b/d).
