The US-based technology firm will provide its C3 Oleflex~(TM) propane dehydrogenation (PDH) technology for on-purpose propylene production to Chinese PC producer Guangdong Peng Zun Energy Development Co. for installation at its plant in the Donghai Island Port Chemical Industrial Zone in Zhanjiang, China. UOP stated that the new unit will produce 450K mt/y of propylene once it is brought online in 2016. This marks the 20th Oleflex license overall for UOP.
