Tesoro Logistics buys Rockies gas infrastructure.

The US midstream company has announced that it has agreed to spend $2.5B to purchase natural gas infrastructure in the Rocky Mountains from QEP Resources. Under the deal, Tesoro Logistics—a subsidiary of independent refiner Tesoro—will acquire a gas processing plant and more than 2K miles (3.2K km) of pipeline running through the Rockies and into North Dakota. The pipelines have the capacity to transport 2.9B cf/d of gas and 54K b/d of oil, but sources were not specific on precise routes or termini.
