Spanish CCGT Sales

Spain's Gas Natural earlier this month struck deals for the sale of two modern gas-fired power plants (CCGTs) at prices that are unimpressive but not terribly low, considering the weak state of Spain's gas market. The plant divestments were among the conditions set by regulator CNE for its consent to GN's takeover two years ago of rival Spanish utility Union Fenosa (WGI Oct. 15'08,p4).
