The government of East Timor may mean it when it says it will let the Sunrise LNG project slide rather than accept the floating LNG scheme selected last week by Woodside and its partners for their Timor Sea reserves - even though delay beyond early 2013 in selecting a development option could mean an entirely new treaty has to be negotiated with Australia on shared resources from the Greater Sunrise fields (WGI Jan.27,p4).
