Algeria's Export Push

Algeria plans to start exporting gas through its 8 billion cubic meter per year (775 million cubic foot per day) Medgaz pipe to Spain by the end of this year. Energy Minister Chakib Khelil said, explaining that work on a compressor station in Algeria will take another six months, as will completing a pipeline in Spain between the landing point at Almeria and the city of Albacete (WGI Dec.31,p5).
