Handicapping Top US Gulf Coast LNG Terminal Projects

LNG import terminal developers once envisioned more than two dozen potential projects dotting the US Gulf Coast and adjacent offshore waters,as well as three in the neighboring Bahamas,plus major expansions of two existing facilities.The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's(FERC)online map of existing and proposed LNG terminals still lists 22 possible sites on or in the Gulf.However,the ranks of realistic proposals are diminishing rapidly as sponsors face up to the dearth of uncommitted LNG supply available in the next decade.
