A mild late summer,coupled with confirmations that new import pipes are almost ready and a second LNG terminal on its way,has caused UK prices to ease dramatically for gas both for day-ahead and next winter delivery.In the latest development,a second expansion of UK import capacity on the Interconnector UK (IUK) linking England and Belgium,to 23.5 billion cubic meters per year (2.3 billion cubic feet per day) from 16.5 Bcm/yr,now looks set to be available from October,rather than December,as planned,the system operator announced Tuesday.
