Britain's energy market regulator Ofgem is asking the European Commission to investigate whether market arrangements are curtailing both pipeline gas and LNG imports into the UK,which has been the world's most expensive spot gas market for the last two weeks.Ofgem's move came Monday,in the context of an EU energy ministers meeting on Dec.1 that will be chaired by UK Energy Minister Malcolm Wicks(WGI Nov.23,p6).However,Ofgem acknowledges that previous Commission probes have unearthed no evidence of manipulation.
