The UK has voted to set itself adrift from the European project, but where it's headed no one knows. For now, the natural gas industry is playing down any direct impact of the British electorate's bombshell decision to quit the EU (WGI Jun.22' 16). But with uncertainty clouding the future of UK politics, trade and the economy, this cannot be guaranteed. At least two years of potentially bitter negotiations between London and Brussels lie ahead, followed by who knows how long spent untangling and redrafting existing trade agreements.
