The EU's flagship Emissions Trading System (ETS) Is again in trouble, with prices collapsing in recent months amid a growing oversupply of carbon dioxide emission allowances, known as EUAs. At around ?7 ($9.25), EUAs have, at least, not yet fallen to the lows seen in 2007, when the price dropped to under ?1, but they are a long way off the minimum ?30 required for the market to be deemed a success (WGI Feb.22'12).
