Despite milder weather on the east side of the Atlantic, LNG continues to flee the US for Europe, enticed by a roughly $1.50 per million Btu Atlantic netback advantage for deliveries priced against Britain's National Balancing Point (NBP) (see table below). Even Trinidadian cargoes are joining the parade, with some delivered into the UK and also Spain. Union Fenosa won a Jun. 5 Atlantic LNG tender. Bids submitted through May 10 were "fairly high, about 800 to $1 above Henry Hub," one trader reports.
