Forecasting the UK gas supply and demand balance out to 2015 is no easy task,particularly given that estimates for demand 10 years out vary by up to 20 billion cubic meters per year(1.93 billion cubic feet per day).That was the message from an annual industry seminar hosted this month by networks operator National Grid(NG).Titled Transporting Britain's Energy 2007:Living with Imports,the event might just as easily have been called Living with Uncertainty,as speakers discussed how price signals not just in the UK,but also Europe and worldwide,will affect the extent to which UK demand is met by either LNG or Norwegian gas.
