One Less PNG LNG

Oil Search last week pulled the plug on one of its two proposed LNG projects in Papua New Guinea (PNG),leaving the other,an Exxon Mobil-led project,as the country's prime LNG contender.Oil Search and the UK's BG had in September 2006 signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on a 3.5 million ton per year LNG project in PNG,primarily based on the Kutubu oil and gas field (WGI Jun.l3,p3).
