GdF Expands Abroad,Eyes Deals Far Afield

Gaz de France (GdF) boosted gas sales volume by 6% last year to 71 billion cubic meters (749 terawatt hours),but as with Germany's E.On Ruhrgas,all the growth was abroad (WGI Mar.l5,p4).Sales inside France fell 3% to 44 Bern,while those elsewhere grew 23% to 27 Bern as businesses acquired earlier in Italy and the UK made their mark.
