Sasol Chevron has both a visionary's and a realist's perspective on the future of the natural gas-to-liquids (GTL) business. The joint venture of South Africa's Sasol and Chevron Texaco envisions operating several mega-GTL refineries around the world, complexes that would produce up to 200,000 barrels per day of diesel and other middle distillates.
