As foreign and domestic companies continue to ponder the viability of shipping LNG from Canada's West Coast to fast-growing Asian markets, alarm bells are starting to ring. Even as new joint ventures are formed, supply deals signed and export permits awarded, concerns are growing about economics, timing and environmental degradation that could potentially jeopardize Canada's goal of becoming an LNG superpower (WGI Jan.2'13).
