An Introduction to Institute of Quantitative & Technical Economics, CASS

The Institute of Technical Economics was founded in Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) on January 18, 1980. By merging the Research Division of Quantitative Economics in the Institute of Economics, and the Research Division of Management Modernization in the Institute of Industrial Economics in 1982, the Institute of Quantitative & Technical Economics (IQTE) had been formed. The preparatory period of the institute was ended by August 1985, while the first director of the institute was formally appointed.
