Bali - Tropical Paradise

Next year's Annual Meeting of the World Aquaculture Society will be held on the tropical island paradise of Bali, Indonesia from the 9th to the 13th of May. Bali has been a favorite "get away from it all" holiday destination for decades and one that attracts tourists from around the world keen to experience the natural delights and rich cultural heritage of the island. Bali is located just south of the equator between the islands of Java and Lombok. It can be reached in 1.5 hours from the Indonesiancapital, Jakarta, or by direct flights from several other Asian cities such as Bangkok (3.5 hours), Singapore (2.5 hours) or Hong Kong (4.5 hours). There are also direct flights from Australian cities such as Perth (3 hours) and Sydney/Melbourne (5.5 to6 hours).
