The two extremes of the Caterpillar grader range were brought together at Westrac's South Guildford premises recently, making for a unique photo opportunity.At well over double the size, the giant 24H grader dwarfs the 120H, the smallest Caterpillar grader on the market. The 120H weighs in at 12,000 kilograms with 140hp while the 24H tops the scales at 60,000kg with a hefty 500hp of flywheel power.The 24H, which wields a fearsome 24 foot blade, is a specialised machine for building haul roads in mining applications. It was developed around three years ago to fill a gap at the top end of the market.
