Less than 12 months after the initial launch, Hino has taken advantage of the Australian Design Rules to give its popular Dutro 4 light truck an extra half tonne of GVM capacity.Hino says that the new specification, taking overall weight of the vehicle to 7 tonnes, follows a reappraisal of tolerances within the ADR parameters and makes the Dutro 4 the most competitive contender in its class by combining stronger load carrying capacity with its already outstanding safety, ergonomics and dynamics. The upgrade in GVM resulted from the ability to make the most of the weight capacity for which the truck was engineered, said Owen Marks, Hino Motor Sales Australia's manager for marketing. "We can now fully exploit the capacity within the ADR testing parameters so buyers will be able to take advantage of a more versatile and flexible Dutro 4 package," he said.
