Now that Felipe Calderon has officially been chosen to serve as Mexico's next president, it will be interesting to see what direction my native country will take. Based on what he has said, Calderon understands the importance of the manufacturing/business sector, and that is very important to Mexico's future. Many Mexicans believe that Calderon can make real advances in Mexico, change that his predecessor, Vicente Fox, also believed in but was unable to achieve. Calderon wants to see the manufacturing/business sector become more competitive and generate more employment. His four-part plan calls for a focus on: employment, energy, competitive production, telecommunications, and infrastructure.
