When firefighters opened the door of an Ontario woodworking facility to attend to smouldering sawdust in a dust collector, a gust of wind loosened other sawdust in the facility. Thirty-six minutes later, this now-airborne dust turned what had startedas a minor fire into a major explosion. According to a hazard alert bulletin from the Ministry of Labour released after the event, six firefighters and eight workers sustained serious cuts and burns.
