Improvement of work safety situation in the mines of Kompania Weglowa SA

摘要

The article discusses accidents rates in the miens of Kompania Weglowa SA. I order to make the picture of work safety more accurate statistical date on accidents in mines integrated within Kompania Weglowa were taken advantage of in the period of 1997-2003. The authors presented main reasons of fatal and very serious accidents that occurred in the mines. It also discusses natural hazards as rockbursts, methane, fire and climatic hazards. Directions of activities were presented with regard to implementation of Work Safety Management System in the mines of Kompania Weglowa SA.
