摘要

This new technology (short-circuiting MIG/MAG, with metallic transfer and control of current) has been widely studied by the world's welding developers, with different philosophies of monitoring and welding control. It is therefore dealing with the design of new methods for the control of short-circuiting MIG/MAG welding with metallic transfer, involving a study of the existing philosophies and verification of new ones. To do so, naturally, scientific knowledge is needed of the bases of the MIG/MAG process, principally in this method of metal transfer, as set out in this work, as well as technological knowledge of the hardware and software tools that can be applied. These factors, together with the forecast increase in productivity and quality, justify the present review of the state of the art for the MIG/ MAG process, with an emphasis on short-circuiting metal transfer.
