摘要

The method of self-propagating high temperature synthesis (SHS) without preheating of the reaction mixtures was used for producing the composite powders of the titanium carbide with the R.6M5 high-speed tool steel with the volume content of the steel binder of 20-37 percent. The hardness and abrasive wear resistance of the electron beam coatings, deposited using the SHS composite powders, are determined by the dispersion of the carbide grains and morphological special features of the structure of the composite.
