摘要

The application of flux cored wires in the companies of the Five East region of the Russian federation increases continuously. However, all plants, producing these wires, are located in the western region of the Russian Federation. The supply of these products are to the far east greatly increases the cost of the wires. The department of the technology of metals of Far East State Communications University, Khabarovsk developed welding-surfacing flux cored wires with the core containing mineral materials of the Far Eastern region PP-PMS2 2,8 PS44-A2N (GOST 26271-84). In the development of the wires, the scientists of the department analysed the chemical composition of the local natural resources in the Khabarovsk and Primor'e regions. Consequently, it was possible to determine the range of the minerals and concentrates, suitable for application in the charge of the flux cored wires. A programme was developed for rapid calculation of the weight fractions of the components in the composition of the charge. A database was developed for the mineral resources, which makes it possible to design efficiently the composition of the charge on the basis of the main functions: gas and slag shielding; stabilisation of arcing; refining of deposited metal; obtaining the required toughness of the molten slag; deoxidation and alloying.
