Classification of the methods of contact ignition of the arc in welding with small diameter wires

The methods of controlling the area of burning of the electrode in the extension maybe based either on a single effect or on several effects, realized simultaneously or in a sequence. All the methods of contact ignition of the welding arc have advantages and shortcomings manifested in the specific welding conditions. The variety of these conditions also results in the development of methods of stabilization of the welding process, but the general tendency is the application of the simplest methods of controlling the investigated process.
