The new technology and equipment for narrow gap welding of components up to 100 mm thick make it possible to reduce greatly the energy consumption, the consumption of welding materials and ensure minimum deformation and the corresponding level of stresses in the welded joint. This prevents the formation of cold cracks in the heat affected zone.
