Volkswagen's Golf Plus has been treated to some upgrades to bring it in line with the Golf MkVI. It's been a busy year for Volkswagen. The German maker has renewed its small and medium car range and overhauled its most iconic models in the process. The new Golf mkVI went on sale in January and its more practical brother, the Golf Plus, now adopts many of its improvements. The silhouette remains much the same as before, albeit with revised front and rear bumpers, together with fresh head and tail lamps. Under the skin, the Golf Plus abandons the old fashioned pumpe duse engines in favour of VW's cleaner and more efficient 2.0-litre common rail units, in 108 and 138bhp form. The pair will shortly be joined by a brand new 1.6-litre TDI engine, recently announced for the Polo, developing 89bhp and 104bhp.
